The Baby Bureau donates books in each Baby Bundle. We believe that it is never too early to read to a baby. Not only do parents develop an early bond with their babies through reading, the newest research from the American Academy of Pediatrics shows “reading to young children, beginning even in early infancy, has a lasting effect on language, literacy and early reading skills.”

We would also like to thank Matthews Children’s Foundation and Urban Funeral Home for awarding a $1000.00 grant for our literacy program. We will be able to supply our Babies with NEW BOOKS!

One of our favorites is On The Night You Were Born, by Nancy Tillman.
