Making Change with your Spare Change

The Baby Bureau is proud and excited to announce and make available the Bottles of Love Campaign.  Through this fun program, you can toss your spare change into one of our Bottle of Love Banks.  Every penny, nickel, dime, quarter and dollar will help change the lives of underserved babies in our local communities.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Request an official Baby Bureau Bottle of Love Bank by:
    • Emailing or calling 215-688-0538
  • Fill your bottle however you feel is best
    • Feel free to cash in the bottle from time to time.
  • Click the Bottle Turn In Page and Print the Instructions
    • Take your bottle to a Trumark Financial Credit Union Branch to cash the coins in.
      • Trumark can help you deposit the coins on the spot.  Please be sure to tell the Trumark Representative to look for THE Baby Bureau.
    • To receive a donation receipt, please send us a copy of your deposit form by email or mail a copy to:

Here are some ideas for making the bottles of love campaign a fun and meaningful campaign for yourself, your family, friends and even your colleagues.

For Families:

  • Place the bottle in a central location in the house (perhaps the kitchen). Encourage kids to add coins they find around the house and encourage adults to “empty their pockets” each night when they get home.
  • Take the kids with you to Trumark. The coin counter is fun and they’ll feel even more connected to the incredible generosity they were a part of

For Schools:

  • Consider placing the bottle in a classroom or teacher’s lounge.
  • Consider periodic Baby Bottle days where students and teachers alike can do special projects geared toward filling the bottle
  • Run a competition between classrooms or grade levels for the most coins or bills turned in and/or largest total raised.

For the Workplace:

  • Are you able to place a bottle in your front lobby?  You’d be surprised how many people arrive with spare change in their pockets.  Consider printing a small sign to place under the bottle or use the card inside to let people know what the money is used for.
